Before making their debut in the K-pop industry, trainees need to improve their skills in singing and dancing, hence, they receive classes that focused on these two areas. But aside from that, trainees also take lessons that are unrelated to music.

K-pop Idols Who Took Interesting Classes During Their Training Period
IVE Members
During their appearance on "MMTG," IVE revealed they received selfie lessons at Starship Entertainment. The girls explained that they were required to take selfies and get them checked by the company staff.

Other than that, the members (except from An Yujin and Jang Wonyoung) also attended a class for short-form content, such as TikToks. They said that they would film TikTok videos and get them inspected, and then they would receive feedback.
TWICE Members
TWICE members are among the examples of K-pop idols who took interesting classes during the training period. In particular, the "SCIENTIST" singers revealed during their appearance on MBC's "Radio Star" that they took sex education classes. The girl group added that the male and female trainees took the said class separately.
In addition to sex education, another interesting class they took as trainees was IT education, in which they were taught how to protect their personal information. TWICE commented that this sort of education was important since most trainees start at such a young age.
Weki Meki Members
In one of their interviews on Mnet's "Produce 101" (Season 1), the Fantagio trainees (most of whom are Weki Meki members) were asked if they were offered special classes.

Yoojung revealed that they received sex education, suicide prevention education, and book discussions. Hyerim added that they were taught about the secrets to a healthy diet.
SHINee Members
The SHINee members once said that they took walking lessons during their trainee days because according to SM Entertainment, they walked in a weird way. This is probably one of the most interesting and unusual classes given to K-pop trainees.
NCT Members
During a live broadcast, NCT Jeno shared that when they were still trainees they had a class where they had to read books and write a review about them.

However, Jeno said that he didn't take the time to read and instead searched the book and its summary online, then wrote his review from there. On the other hand, Jisung revealed that he only copied the review from the internet.
aespa members
aespa is another K-pop girl group with members who took an interesting class when they were still trainees.
According to this video, Karina once mentioned that they received mimicry classes where they were taught how to imitate animals. In fact, the girls incorporate animal sounds in their songs. For example, aespa's "Girls" features Winter's adorable "meow" in the introduction.
