In "Soshi Tam Tam" Episode 6, Girls' Generation maknae Seohyun confessed her true feelings about promoting solo vs. as a group during a candid conversation with Taeyeon. Here's what the idol-actress said.
Seohyun Reveals Difference Between Promoting Solo vs. With Group
On August 9, th JTBC's "Soshi Tam Tam" Episode 6 aired, featuring Girls' Generation's 15th debut anniversary celebration. During the broadcast, Seohyun and Taeyeon had a one-on-one conversation.
While in the car, Taeyeon asked about Seohyun's solo career after leaving SM Entertainment. Seohyun then shared her feelings about being alone in her new nest, and its different when she was still with her members under the same agency.
"I got to know myself better. When we are all together, I am not the only one who thinks about me, and as I adapted to the environment, I didn't know what kind of person I was.
But as I was alone, I realized that I was like this. At first, I was unfamiliar with myself."
The youngest continued how she got mature along the process, saying:
"When I was working alone, all the staff were younger than me. (In Girls' Generation) I was always the youngest but with the staff, I always thought, 'I should do well as an older sister.' I used to be childish with my older sisters, but now I think I should refrain."
Seohyun then confessed her love for Girls' Generation, adding:
"I did it without realizing it. It was natural to have my older sisters when I was waiting (during schedule) but I miss that (because I don't have my older sisters in solo activities). I miss chatting with my sisters."
Hearing this, leader Taeyeon advised:
"If you try to be too mature, you will feel lonely. I think we just have to do well according to the situation and the other person. At the same time, I can express what I want to say well."
When Seohyun asked about Taeyeon's solo career, the latter sympathized with her story and opened up that she became more "decisive" as a soloist. Taeyeon said:
"When I went back to my main focus, everyone was waiting for my decision. Originally, I was indecisive, so I thought other members would take care of the food menu, but now I'm choosing the menu. That's a little different."
SNSD Members Become Managers for Day
Meanwhile, during the show, Girls' Generation played a role divided into artists and managers.
Taeyeon and Seohyun were paired as Hyoyeon's managers, Sunny and Tiffany as Yuri's managers, and Yoona as Sooyoung's manager.
During the show, the members made viewers laugh with their hilarious antics, such as Taeyeon and Seohyun making Hyoyeon wait from the beginning while on the MV filming set.
