In the entertainment industry, the female K-pop idol is professionally known as Luna. But "Luna" is actually just her stage name, and her birth name is Park Sun Young. The reason she uses "Luna" as her stage name is unknown, but many fans think it perfectly suits her.
How Did SM Entertainment Scout f(x) Luna?
f(x) Luna was scouted by SM Entertainment following her appearance on the SBS reality TV show "Truth Game" back in 2006. At the time of her guesting, she was only 13 years old and was cast as a young "wave" girl who dreamed of becoming a singer as amazing and sexy as Chae Yeon.
After training for three years and five months, she officially made her debut as the main vocalist and lead dancer of the company's girl group, f(x), in August 2009.
f(x) Luna Establishes Own Company
Back in September 2019, Luna officially left SM Entertainment, but not f(x). Her departure was due to her decision not to renew her exclusive contract with the agency. One month later, the female idol joined a new agency, particularly Humap Contents, but she eventually parted ways with the label.

In February 2021, f(x) Luna established her own entertainment agency, called Grida Entertainment. She acts as the representative director under the company. Also, she is believed to be the only artist as of today.
f(x) Luna Has Twin Sister
One of the most interesting facts about f(x) Luna that new fans might not be aware of is that she has a twin sister named Park Jin Young, who is older than her.
They are fraternal twins, so you won't have trouble identifying who is who. While they don't look alike, they both possess powerful vocals. In fact, they once had a duet on "Immortal Song."
f(x) Luna Is the Voice of Marvel's First K-pop Superhero
In December 2020, Marvel announced that f(x) Luna is the new voice of their first K-pop superhero, the aptly-named Luna Snow. The superhero isn't technically new as it was created back in 2018 as part of a game collaboration (called "Future Fight") with Netmarble, the agency that the brother of HYBE's chairman Bang Si Hyuk founded.
