TXT Ties With THIS Top Girl Group for K-pop Act With 2nd Most Weeks on Billboard 200
On Aug 16 local time, Billboard updated its official website to reveal the full rankings of its charts for this week ending on Aug. 20.
According to the latest Billboard 200, TXT's "minisode 2: Thursday's Child" secured No. 175, marking its 13th consecutive week on the chart. This means the mini-album has once again extended its record as the longest-running K-pop album of 2022 on Billboard 200 (which ranks the most popular albums in the United States of the week).

In addition, TXT is now the only second K-pop artist (following BTS) to ever chart more than one album for 13 weeks on Billboard 200. Their 2021 album "The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE" previously spent 13 weeks on the tally.
What's more impressive is that TXT is now the K-pop artist with the second most cumulative weeks on Billboard 200 in history, along with BLACKPINK. These two acts have spent a total of 31 weeks on the chart with different albums.
The K-pop artist with the most cumulative weeks on Billboard 200 is BTS, who has spent an impressive total of 355 weeks on the chart.

Meanwhile, TXT's "minisode 2: Thursday's Child" also stayed strong on other Billboard charts this week. The mini-album ranked sixth on the World Albums chart, seventh on the Top Current Album Sales chart, and eighth on the Top Album Sales chart.
TXT also found themselves charting at No. 65 on this week's Artist 100, marking their 32nd week on the list.

TXT to Release Third Japanese Single This August
In other news, TXT is set to release their third japanese single, titled "GOOD BOY GONE BAD," on Aug. 31.
"GOOD BOY GONE BAD" first came out as the title track of the boy group's latest mini-album "minisode 2: Thursday's Child," which came out this past May.
Prior to the release of the Japanese single, TXT will appear at the Summer Sonic 2022, Japan's largest music festival to be held in Tokyo and Osaka. Two shows will be held in each city, one on Aug. 20 and on Aug. 21.

The South Korean act is particularly included in the lineup for Aug. 20 in Osaka at Maishima Sonic Park, together with Salem Ilese (the artist they collaborated with for their hit songs "Anti-Romantic" and "PS5." The band will also perform on Aug. 21 in Tokyo at Zozomarine Stadium/ Makuhari Messe.
Then, after the release of TXT's third Japanese single "GOOD BOY GONE BAD," the quintet will hold concerts in Japan as part of their "ACT: LOVE SICK" world tour. They will perform in Osaka and Chiba for two days each. In particular, the concert dates in Osaka are Sept. 3 and 4, while the shows in Chiba are scheduled on Sept. 7 and 8.
