AB6IX Drops 2nd Japanese Mini-Album 'SAVIOR' Featuring New Tracks
On August 17 JST, four-member boy group AB6IX officially released their second Japanese mini album on various music platforms.
"SAVIOR" is the Brand New Music group's latest album which came nearly nine months after the release of their debut Japanese mini album "Absolute 6ix" back in November 2021.
If including all mini albums released in the past, "SAVIOR" would mark the group's eighth overall release.
The new album is composed of a total of five tracks, with two being new additions. For this album, the Japanese version of their Korean single "SAVIOR" served as the album's title track. In addition, an instrumental version of the song was also included.
Both the Korean and Japanese versions of "SAVIOR" were already made available to the public before the album was released.
Originally, "SAVIOR" was released as part of AB6IX's fifth mini album "A to B," which was released back on May 18 of this year. The song's Japanese version was then pre-released just last month on July 13 with its accompanying music video.
The Japanese version of "Sucker For Your Love" was also included in AB6IX's "SAVIOR" album. The song was also released as part of their "A to B" album in May, with member Daewhi participating in the song's writing and composing.
Aside from the Japanese versions of their previous releases, AB6IX also included two original Japanese songs to their album, namely "Set You Free" and "Umbrella," which show off the charm and identity of each of the group members.
All of the members also participated in the writing and composing of the songs in the album, cementing their image as a self-producing group.
AB6IX Kicks Off 3-Day Promotions in Japan With Album Release
With their new album release, this means that AB6IX will also be promoting in Japan! For the next three days, the group will be busy doing offline and online promotions.
On August 17 at 9:30pm local time, AB6IX will commemorate their Japanese comeback with a live broadcast to be held through LINE Live. It is expected that the members will reveal some behind-the-scenes moments in the the production of "SAVIOR" and the inspiration behind it.
Aside from that, AB6IX will also be holding a fan signing event, a 'send-off party', as well as a 'talk event' in both Tokyo and Osaka in Japan across the three days.
Meanwhile, AB6IX will also be holding a two-day fan meeting event at the Orix Theater in Osaka this coming August 21 and August 22, where a special stage will be shown to fans.
