In the K-pop scene, a lot of idols usually came from East Asian countries including China and Japan, aside from South Korea. But as the "Hallyu Wave" spread throughout the globe, Southeast Asians, who rarely debut as K-pop idols were finally given the chance to showcase their top skills and visuals as well.
10 Southeast Asian K-pop Idols Who Are Currently Dominating the Fourth Gen Era:
1. NewJeans Hanni (Vietnam)
In August, the new girl group launched by HYBE caught the attention of K-pop fans of its member who came from Vietnam. It is Hanni, a Vietnamese-Australian idol under ADOR. Born in 2004, Hanni was given the name Phạm Ngọc Hân before they move to Melbourne Australia.
2. TEMPEST Hanbin (Vietnam)

Ngô Ngọc Hưng, who is popularly known as Hanbin is a Vietnamese who first made his name in the K-pop scene as an "I-Land" participant organized by HYBE and CJ ENM.
After being eliminated, he was introduced as the fifth member of a new boy group TEMPEST which debuted in March under Yue Hua Entertainment.
3. Beauty Box Anh (Vietnam)
Initially known as actress Chérie in Vietnam, Trâm Anh debuted in 2021 under BY-U Entertainment as Beauty Box's vocalist and rapper.
4. Lapillus Chanty (Philippines)
On June 20, 2022, Filipina-Argentinian Chanty Vidal debuted as Lapillus launched by MLD Entertainment. Born in the Philippines, Lee Heejin (Chanty) entered the local entertainment scene as a child actress and model under the name Chantal Videla.
5. IN2IT Isaac (Malaysia)
Isaac Voo Kai Meng, also known as Isaac debuted as a solo artist in August this year. He was first known as a member of the boy group IN2IT, a boy group formed through the survival program, "BOYS24."
6. Secret Number Dita (Indonesia)

In 2020, Anak Agung Ayu Puspa debuted as Secret Number's Dita. The singer particularly gained massive attention when she debuted as the first female Indonesian K-pop idol.
7. Beauty Box Jerin (Thailand)
In 2021, Jerin also joined Beauty Box along with Anh as the only Southeast Asian in the multi-national group. Prior to her debut, she was initially promoted as Tana under the Thai girl group BLACK DOLLS.
8. NINE.i Winnie (Thailand)
In March 2022, Winnie was introduced as a member of the K-pop boy group NINE.i, launched by FirstOne Entertainment. He was born in Thailand in 1998 and was named Pattipong Kasemsan Na Ayudhya.
9. GHOST9 Prince (Thailand)
Pasidh Vataniyapramote is a 03-liner idol born in Bangkok, Thailand. In 2020, the idol was introduced as a member of the boy group GHOST9 as Prince under Maroo Entertainment.
10. Rumble-G DiDi (Myanmar)
Born in Yangon, Myanmar, Su Nadi Soe is a Burmese K-pop idol who debuted as Rumble-G under WinnerZone Entertainment. DiDi is the leader of the group.
