Back on August 24, 2015, DSP Media debuted their six-member girl group APRIL. Over the years, the group had lineup changes with members withdrawing and being added to fill the gap. But through the changes, Lee Naeun remained as a member of the group from their debut until disbandment. Seven months after APRIL disbanded, what has Lee Naeun been up to lately?
Keep on reading to know Lee Naeun's current status.
Lee Naeun's Activities Before APRIL's Disbandment
As a member of APRIL, Lee Naeun served as the group's vocalist, rapper, visual member, and face of the group. She had been with the group since their debut in August 2015 with their first mini album entitled "Dreaming," featuring the lead single "Dream Candy."
With APRIL, Lee Naeun joined the group in all of their promotions and activities, such as releasing four studio albums and seven mini albums.
Over the next seven years, Lee Naeun continued on with her promotions with the group. With APRIL, Lee Naeun appeared on broadcasts, magazine pictorials, and endorsement deals together. She was also a part of the group's sub-unit Naeun & Jinsol.
Why Did APRIL Disband?
As previously mentioned, APRIL has had a couple of changes in their member lineups, such as Jeon Somin, who was the group's leader and re-debuted with KARD, leaving in 2015, followed by Lee Hyunjoo in 2016.
On July 29, 2020, APRIL returned with their special single album "Hello Summer," which features the lead single "Now or Never" and its b-side track "Paradise."
But following their summer comeback, the group went into hiatus as the members began focusing on their individual careers while there weren't any plans for another comeback yet.
However, the entire group came under controversy after a person claiming to be former member Lee Hyunjoo's brother made a post on an online community forum.
In the post shared in February 2021, Lee Hyunjoo's brother claimed that the former member departed from the group due to severe bullying by her fellow members, and not due to her wanting to pursue acting.

DSP Media denied these claims, and announced legal action against Lee Hyunjoo and her family. As a result, the group faced severe backlash from the public, with the members being pulled out from endorsement deals and acting roles.
After a year of legal battles and APRIL having no new activities, DSP Media announced that the group had decided to disband on January 28, 2022. All of the members, except for Rachel, decided not to renew their exclusive contracts with DSP Media.
After nearly seven years following their debut, APRIL's final lineup consisted of members Lee Naeun, Chaewon, Chaekyung, Yena, Rachel, and Jinsol.
Lee Naeun's Current Status Following APRIL's Disbandment
Following the group's disbandment, all of the APRIL members have been relatively quiet in the entertainment industry as a result of the bullying scandal.
But prior to APRIL disbanding, Lee Naeun had already kickstarted her acting career, and it seems that her main focus now would be on acting.
In June of this year, it was announced that Lee Naeun had signed an exclusive contract with the agency Namoo Actors, which is known for their expertise in managing actors and actresses.

However, there has yet to be new reports regarding Lee Naeun's upcoming activities as an actress. In fact, Lee Naeun has also been silent on social media, with her last post on Instagram being back in February 2021.
It is likely that it won't be until a couple of months before we hear Lee Naeun's new activities.
