Yuju Diet & Workout Routine: How Does the Former GFRIEND Member Stay Slim?

Choi Yuna, more commonly know by her stage name Yuju, achieved stardom after making her debut as a member of the now-disbanded girl group GFRIEND back in January 2015. And just like the case for most idols, Yuju gained attention for her weight.

As an idol, Yuju has to maintain a certain weight during her promotions. With that, how does Yuju keep herself slim? Here's what we know about Yuju's diet and workout routine!

Former GFRIEND Yuju Workout Routine

When Yuju first made her debut, she was already known to be naturally slim, which can be attributed to her amazing genes. But despite her already slim figure, Yuju still managed to lose a bit more weight over the years, especially her baby fat.

Now, Yuju weighs maintains a weight range between 45kg to 51kg, while standing at around 170cm (5'7") tall.

When it comes to Yuju's workout routine, it is worth noting that when GFRIEND first made their debut, Yuju was one of the members who weren't required by their agency to go on a strict diet, alongside former member Sowon.

Although she wasn't forced to go on a diet or work out, Yuju still watched out for her weight and figure.

One of her main forms of workout when she was still promoting as GFRIEND is dancing. Like most idols, Yuju would practice dancing almost every day for at least an hour and a half, whether or not the group was promoting at the time.

And given GFRIEND's high-energy and difficult dance moves, it is likely Yuju lost a significant amount of weight through dancing alone.

And even though she is no longer promoting with GFRIEND, Yuju still continues to practice dancing as a solo artist.

Aside from dancing, Yuju has also grown to try other forms of workouts. In particular, it can be seen through Yuju's social media that she tries out a sport that is not usually seen done by K-pop idols.

To keep up her fitness level, Yuju also likes to practice pole dancing. This type of workout is usually seen as difficult due to its mix of dancing and acrobatics.

In fact, pole dancing can help burn a lot of calories and fat as it targets the entire body in building strength, stamina, and flexibility.

It it also likely that Yuju does similar workouts to pole dancing, such as yoga or pilates during her free time.

When it comes to Yuju's diet plan, not much is known. However, due to her being naturally slim, it is likely that she doesn't restrict herself in consuming different kinds of food she craves, albeit in moderation.

But based on GFRIEND's diet plan in the past, they would refrain from consuming carbohydrates, such as pasta, rice, and bread.
