TXT Returns With 'Good Boy Gone Bad' Japanese Album + Enters Various Charts

TXT has officially dropped their "Good Boy Gone Bad" Japanese album, marking their fourth comeback in Japan. The songs in the album quickly entered local music charts and iTunes charts following their release. Keep on reading to find out how the tracks are being well-received around the world.

TXT Drops 'Good Boy Gone Bad' Japanese Album + Songs Enter Various Music Charts

On Aug. 31 at midnight JST, TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) returned with their third Japanese single album titled "Good Boy Gone Bad." The album is composed of the Japanese version of "Good Boy Gone Bad" (the title song of their Korean album "minisode 2: Thursday's Child"), "Heart Signal Japan" theme song "Ring," and their cover of Porno Graffitti's "Hitori no Yoru." "Ring" was initially dropped on Aug. 24.

At the same time the album came out, the music video for "Good Boy Gone Bad" (Japanese version) was uploaded to YouTube. "Good Boy Gone Bad," which is described as a hardcore hip hop genre song featuring rock elements, expresses the dark emotional transformation of a "good boy" after experiencing his very first breakup.

On the same day ,TXT opened a pop-up store in Tokyo and Osaka in celebration of their Japanese comeback with their "Good Boy Gone Bad" single album. The store will be open until Sept. 19, for more than two weeks.

Shortly after release, songs from TXT's "Good Boy Gone Bad" Japanese album debuted on several domestic charts and iTunes charts.

At 1 a.m. JST, "Good Boy Gone Bad" (Japanese version) debuted at No. 1 on Line Music's Real Time Song Top 100 chart, while "Hitori no Yoru" entered at No. 2. The digital version of "Ring" ranked fifth, while the album version of the track debuted at No. 9.

As of 11 a.m. JST, "Good Boy Gone Bad" has spent 10 hours at No. 1 on Line Music's real-time song chart.

"Ring" spent seven consecutive days at No. 1 on Line Music Daily Song Top 100, tying with "Force" as TXT's song with the most days at No. 1 on the said chart. The song also topped the latest weekly chart, becoming the group's sixth No. 1 on the tally (following "Run Away," "Force," "0X1=LOVE SONG," "Magic," and "Good Boy Gone Bad").

TXT's "Good Boy Gone Bad" (Japanese version) also made it to the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart at No. 141. It also entered the top 100 of iTunes Song charts in at least eight countries, such as Indonesia, Vietnam, Turkey, Thailand, Japan, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and the Netherlands.

"Good Boy Gone Bad" went on to score the No. 1 spot on iTunes Song charts in Argentina and Latvia.

"Hitori no Yoru" also placed within the top 100 of iTunes Song charts in different regions, including Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam.

On YouTube, the "Good Boy Gone Bad" (Japanese version) MV surpassed 100,000 views just 14 minutes after its release. The number of views hit 300,000 in three hours, and 900,000 in 11 hours. The MV ranked eighth on the Music Video Trending Worldwide list.

TXT to Hold Concerts in Japan as Part of Their 'ACT: LOVE SICK' World Tour

In other news, TXT is set to take their "ACT: LOVE SICK" world tour to Tokyo on Sept. 3 and 4, and Osaka on Sept. 7 and 8, prior to their Asian tour which will take them across different cities, such as Manila, Jakarta, and Bangkok.
