7 K-Pop Songs With Group/Artist Names as Titles

Did you know that some artists have released songs named after themselves? How iconic! Here are eight K-pop songs with titles named after the group or artist.

1. Girls' Generation - 'Girls' Generation'


The song "Girls' Generation" was originally sung by Lee Seung Chul in 1989. Girls' Generation covered the song and released it as the lead single for their self-titled debut album on November 1, 2007.

The original artist, Lee Sung Chul, helped with the song's production. In fact, he even appeared with the group on "M! Countdown" to celebrate the cover!

2. bugAboo - 'bugAboo'


bugAboo debuted not only with a self-titled single album but with a self-titled lead single as well!

The song "bugAboo" is a bright song that meshes the conventional K-pop song with Italian music inspired by Ennio Morricone. The song was produced by Ryan Jhun, Hitmanic, and DeKo.

3. PRISTIN - 'WE ARE PRISTIN'


"WE ARE PRISTIN" is a b-sidetrack that was included in PRISTIN's second (and final) mini-album, "SCHXXL OUT."

4. BLACKPINK Lisa - 'LALISA'


Lisa made her solo debut on September 10, 2021, with the single album "LALISA" and a lead single of the same name.

Lalisa is Lisa's birthname, which makes her a perfect addition to the list. The title track references her given name, which she received after visiting a fortune teller as a child as a gesture for good luck.

5. Agust D - 'Agust D'


BTS's Suga released his debut mixtape, "Agust D," on August 15, 2016. The album is considered self-titled, as he releases mixtapes under the stage name Agust D. The mixtape included a lead single of the same name.

On Augsut 11, OMEGA X released a special music video for their self-titled track, "OMEGA X."

In the video, the eleven-member group flaunted their stunning visuals in form-fitting black clothes, gloves, and jackets. They also showcased their well-choreographed and synchronized dancing.

7. PENTAGON - 'PENTAGON'


"PENTAGON" is a b-sidetrack that was included in PENTAGON's self-titled debut mini-album. It was released on October 10, 2016.
