HyunA Cries at Music Festival Before Leaving P Nation— Was It Due to Her Departure?

A few days before leaving P Nation, HyunA performed at a particular music festival, and at one point, she started crying. While Dawn revealed the reason she became emotional, people are seeing it differently after the announcement of her departure from the company.

On Aug. 29, P Nation announced that HyunA and Dawn's exclusive contracts with the agency had expired, which naturally means that the two artists are leaving the company.

After revealing in 2018 that they were in a relationship, both HyunA and Dawn left CUBE Entertainment. In January 2019, HyunA and Dawn joined PSY's agency P Nation together.

Prior to leaving P Nation, HyunA and Dawn appeared at MTV's "Sihwa MTV Turtle Island Music Festival." Amid their performance, the female idol burst into tears.

On Aug. 27, HyunA performed her famous songs, including "I'm Not Cool," "Lip & Hip," "BABE," "Bubble Pop!," and more. She also had a joint stage with Dawn toward the end of her number.

Shortly after completing her performance of "Bubble Pop!," HyunA began shedding tears. Seeing her become emotional, Dawn quickly comforted her.

Dawn then told the audience members, "You guys gave us so much love so I think HyunA became overwhelmed with emotions. The HyunA that I know feels very grateful for every little thing."

He added, "[HyunA] is so thankful for you all. I am also thankful for you."

After composing herself, HyunA said, "I will work hard in my music, dance, and stage performances. I will repay you by working hard."

Although Dawn told the audience the reason why HyunA cried, netizens are speculating other reasons now that it was recently announced that they both left P Nation.

One Twitter user said:

"Now it makes sense why HyunA was emotional at the festival. It was her last time on stage as P Nation's HyunA and it was probably a really hard decision to make. Especially because of how awful the separation was with her last company and with her relationship with PSY too."

A YouTube user commented:

"After the news came out about their departure from P Nation, it all makes sense tho! They've been together through thick and thin. Let's support them on their new path."

HyunA's Last Music Release Prior to Leaving P Nation

Meanwhile, HyunA's last music release before leaving P Nation is her eighth EP "Nabillera."

Released on July 20, "Nabillera" is composed of five total songs including the title track of the same name. It sold a total of 9,434 copies in the first week of its release.
