TWICE Nayeon Shares Tip on Dealing With Malicious Comments

In rapper Lee Youngji's "My Alcohol Diary" Episode 10, TWICE Nayeon and Chaeyoung showed up as guests in line with promoting the girl group's latest comeback album "Between 1&2."

To this, the TWICE member answered that at first, she was affected by the unpleasant remarks about her online. There were videos of her that were cropped and edited that painted her as a bad person or she has this bad quality.

She also thought that the effort and time that those people took to make a silly video of her was too much, to which Youngji suggested they might actually be fans who cannot admit to themselves that they like TWICE.

Moreover, knowing that there are people, such as her fans, who get affected by the malicious comments, Nayeon said she feels hurt for them. For the TWICE member, it is hard to fall out of the loop once you start engaging and consuming such comments.

Eventually, Nayeon began to not care about the hateful remarks, knowing full well those are not true at all. She shared a tip on how she deals with these comments, with co-member and Youngji agreeing with her.

"It's hard to feel nothing at all after reading malicious comments. One tip is that, let's say, you read a comment, something like, 'Youngji has big nostrils'. Then you imagine that person in the PC cafe writing that without even taking a shower. Once you imagine that, you feel better."

The TWICE singer added she feels safe after realizing that ONCEs jump to her and her group's defense.

"Sometimes, those bad comments may be helpful for you. When I read those comments, I realized that my fans fight for me instead. They specifically look for those comments and fight for us. It makes me feel good. And their profile pictures are us."
