EXID Hyerin Reveals She Suffered From THIS Following Reverse Run of 'Up&Down'
In the Sept. 5 broadcast of Channel IHQ's "Travely," Song Haena, EXID Hyelin, and Kim Minseon- who left for Kinabalu, Malaysia- talked about their concerns at a local pub.
While enjoying a meal together, Song Haena first confessed, "There are things that I want to escape and just go somewhere else. I'm so busy that I become too anxious."
She continued, "I don't meet anyone because I feel uneasy. But then, I also feel lonely."

EXID Hyelin then reminisced her past experiences as she sympathized with Song Haena. In particular, Song's sentiments reminded her of the time when she was enjoying high popularity with "Up&Down" while promoting with EXID.
To recall, EXID's "Up&Down" was released in August 2014. The song failed to chart and was also met with a lukewarm reception. Because their new release didn't gain much attention, the girls were already considering disbanding their group and ending promotions for the song early.
However, in October 2014, a fan shared a fancam of EXID member Hani dancing to "Up&Down," and the song became an overnight sensation. It experienced a reverse run on South Korea's major music charts and even debuted on the Circle Digital Chart at No. 24.

As a result, EXID returned to promotions and eventually won six music show trophies for "Up&Down." The track has since become popular among fans, and the pelvic dance move in its choreography remains iconic to this day.
Going back to the recent broadcast of Channel IHQ's "Travely," EXID Hyelin said, "'Up&Down' went well and that's how I felt," referring to Song Haena's anxiety. She added, "Since our job is something that people pay attention to, there were some things that caused me anxiety. I even had doubts about myself and I sometimes asked, 'Is it okay?'."
Fortunately, EXID Hyelin was able to overcome her anxiety and she seems a lot happier now.
Meanwhile, Hyelin released a new song titled "Love Letter," which will serve as an OST for the web drama "Cherry Blossoms After Winter."
