As she sang, fans did a special surprise for IU to celebrate her 14th debut anniversary. Fans held signs saying, "We will be with you every step. Because we are perfect friends of 14 years."

After singing, IU said,

"You guys always try so many ways to make me cry. How can you do that at such an important time? How did you guys come up with the idea of singing 'Love Poem' together? You guys even skipped the bridge perfectly on your own. I did not think I would be able to hear you guys because it was so chaotic back there, but I was listening to you guys under the stage. I am grateful."

IU then confessed that she is undergoing a health problem, saying that performing at today's concert was a little difficult for her. She told the concert-goers,

"To be honest, today's concert was a little difficult. Usually, the first concert is much more difficult. I usually learn the way on the second day and can relax a little more, so it would be a much more comfortable atmosphere. However, I had a little problem with my ears, which made me prepare for this concert with nervousness."

IU reveals that she has been struggling with problems in her hearing for over a year.

She told fans that though her throat condition was good, her ears were going through difficulties following the concert the day prior.

"It is nothing too serious, but I have been in situations where I cannot control my ears well since a year ago. So I thought, 'I just need to do well' and 'I just need my ears to be fine on that day.' I know that even if I rest my throat just a little, I can force my body to work it out. Fortunately, my throat condition was good, but my hearing got a little bad from the end of yesterday's concert."

The female soloist then confessed that she had a rough time the night of the first concert up to rehearsals for the second day. However, after her performance, she felt grateful to her fans.

"I had a difficult time starting from last night to today's rehearsal. When I started the first song today, I was going on stage thinking, 'Ah! I do not know what will happen,' but today's performance is successful thanks to all of you. This is something I always say, but I mean it every time. I am grateful."

IU's solo concert "The Golden Hour" is her first in nearly three years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Her last solo concert was "Love, Poem" in 2019. IU is the first Korean female singer to hold a concert at the Olympic Main Stadium.
