BLACKPINK's 'BORN PINK' & NCT 127 '2 Baddies' to Debut on Next Week's Billboard 200
On Sept. 20, Chart Data revealed that two K-pop albums are set to debut on Billboard 200 next week- and they are BLACKPINK's "BORN PINK" and NCT 127's "2 Baddies."
"BORN PINK" is the four-member girl group's second full album, which features eight total songs including the title track "Shut Down" and pre-release single "Pink Venom."
"2 Baddies" is the boy group's fourth studio album containing 12 songs across various genres including the title song of the same name.

According to Chart Data, Hits Daily Double revealed that BLACKPINK's "BORN PINK" is aiming for No. 2 on Billboard 200 with 80,000 to 85,000 copies sold in the first week in the United States. If an additional 10,000 units are sold, the quartet will likely secure No. 1.
The album currently taking the lead is Bad Bunny's "Un Verano Sin Ti" with 90,000 to 95,000 units.
In case BLACKPINK's "BORN PINK" does land at No. 2 on Billboard 200 next week, it will be the girl group's highest entry on the chart, tying with their first full album "THE ALBUM." It will also mark their fourth album to chart, following "SQUARE UP," "Kill This Love" and "THE ALBUM."

Regarding NCT 127's "2 Baddies," it is projected to debut in the top 10 on Billboard 200 with 60,000 to 65,000 units sold in the first week. This figure may place the boy group at No. 5. Also, it would mark their biggest sales debut to date and their third top 5 and third top 10 debut on the U.S album chart (following "NCT #127: Neo Zone" and "Sticker").
To date, NCT 127's highest peak on Billboard 200 is No. 3 with "Sticker" in 2021 with 62,000 equivalent album units, which includes 58,000 traditional album sales and 3,000 streaming equivalent album units.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK's "Pink Venom" once again ranked within the top 10 on both Billboard's Global Excl. U.S chart and Global 200. The pre-release song came in at No. 3 and No. 4 respectively.
On the Hot Trending Songs chart, "Pink Venom" ranked No. 4, while "Shut Down" debuted at No. 16.
BLACKPINK Attains 6th Win With 'Pink Venom' on 'Inkigayo'
In other news, BLACKPINK has again won a music show trophy with their pre-release song "Pink Venom."
On the Sept. 18 episode of SBS's "Inkigayo," "Pink Venom" was a candidate for first place together with IVE's "After LIKE" and NewJeans' "Attention." BLACKPINK eventually took home the trophy after earning a total of 7,977 points. This marked their sixth music show win with "Pink Venom."
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK's "Shut Down" is leading for first place on the upcoming episode of MBC's "Show Champion." The song has earned a total of 5,085 points and is projected to win its first music show trophy.
Additionally, "Shut Down" ranked second in the pre-voting for Mnet's "M Countdown," coming behind NCT 127's "2 Baddies."
