Where is BAP Now? Status of Former Members Who Collectively Sued Agency

It has been over three years since the TS Entertainment boy group B.A.P disbanded in February 2019, with many fans still saddened by the lost potential of the K-pop group. In fact, their agency even received heavy backlash after all six of the B.A.P members collectively sued TS Entertainment for unfair profit distribution and working conditions.

Now, that it has been years since we last saw B.A.P together, the six members are now pursuing different paths. With that, what has the members been up to? Here are the former B.A.P members' current status!

1. Yongguk

Yongguk

Yongguk served as the group's leader and main rapper. He was the first member to part ways with TS Entertainment in August 2018 after his contract expired. Since then, he has been focusing on his solo activities. Following his departure, he released several singles such as "Hikkimori," "Coming home," "Orange Drive," "Race," and most recently, "Up."

After completing his military enlistment in May 2021, Yongguk established one-man agency called Consent Media in September 2021. He had also preduced the debut single of rookie group JUST B called "Damage."

2. Himchan

Himchan

Himchan was B.A.P's rapper, sub vocalist, and visual member, and left TS Entertainment in February 2019. Since his departure, Himchan has been in the spotlight for the wrong reasons. He was charged with sexual assault and driving under the influence (DUI), and has admitted to both charges. In addition, he was hit with new sexual molestation accusations, which he has denied.

3. Daehyun

Daehyun

Daehyun promoted as B.A.P's main vocalist and the face of the group. He also left TS Entertainment following his contract expiration in February 2019, and made his solo debut in April 2019 with "Chapter2 '27'," before signing with STX Lionheart in June. Since then, Daehyun had a few more solo releases, such as his single album "Aight."

Daehyun also appeared in Naver TV's Meal Kid in 2020, and starred in the musical Grease from 2019 to 2020, as well as The Moment in 2020, and Meissa's Song in 2021. He was recently discharged from military service back in May of this year.

4. Youngjae

Youngjae

Youngjae served as the group's lead vocalist, and left the agency in February 2019. After leaving TS Entertainment, he established his own independent record label, but later signed with DMost Entertainment and subsequently his one-man agency JWorld Entertainment. However, he changed agencies again and signed with Forstar Company in March 2022.

Youngjae has only released two solo mini albums so far, "Fancy" and "O,on." He has since then been focusing on his acting career, and has appeared in Kim Seul Gi Genius, Woman of 9.9 Billion, Mr. Queen, and Police University. This year, Youngjae starred in the film Sing A Song, and dramas Cleaning Up, Crush of Spring, and Mimicus.

5. Jongup

Jongup

As for Jongup, he was the group's main dancer and lead vocalist, and left the agency in February 2019. After the group's disbandment, Jongup took a short hiatus from music, but subsequently joined The Groove Company in November 2019. Since then, he has released two albums, "Up" and "Headache."

He also appeared in the theatrical play The Lost Village and the third episode of the drama Signhere in 2019. In 2022, he starred in the film Idol Recipe.

6. Zelo

And lastly, Zelo, who was the group's lead dancer, lead rapper, and youngest member, was the second member to leave TS Entertainment in December 2018. After his departure, he signed with A Entertainment in January 2019, and made his solo debut with the mini album "Distance" in June of that year. But not long after, Zelo went into a legal battle with A Entertainment for unpaid wages which he won.

Since then, he released more music, such as his mini albums "Day2Day" and "Scarecrow," as well as several singles like "Blame," "On a Roll," and "Back on the Road." More recently, he released the single "Deadline" this year. In August 2022, he signed with Ujurox.
