On September 24, Whee In caused worries to K-pop fans especially MooMoos (fandom) after the female idol reportedly suffered an eye injury during a concert.

In particular, MAMAMOO performed at the "2022 Incheon Airport Sky Concert K-pop Concert" in Incheon. All is well until fireworks were lit in front of the stage. Amid the quartet's performance, a firecracker powder went into Whee In's eyes.

Although the star tried to open her eyes and continue the performance, the pain seemed very severe that even singing with her eyes closed seemed difficult.

On September 25, THE L1VE took to its official SNS to report on Whee In's recent status.

In the announcement, the agency confirmed that Whee In hurt her cornea due to a wound caused by a foreign substance. However, they also attested that the female star is now in stable condition.

The agency also promised to proceed with her succeeding schedule considering health as a top priority so that Whee In can make a definite recovery in the future.

Here's the full text of THE L1VE Label's official position:

"Hello, we're THE L1VE.

Today, our artist Whee In complained of pain in her eyes due to the residue of the stage effect device during the schedule.

As a result, she visited the hospital immediately after the situation occurred and received precise eye treatment, and as a result of the treatment, he was diagnosed with injuries caused by foreign substances in the cornea.

Currently, she has received appropriate treatment and prescription of medicine and is in stable condition.

If there is a change in the schedule to be carried out in the future, we will inform you through a separate notice.

We ask for your understanding that we're announcing this late at night to give you quick notice.

I would like to say sorry to MooMoos who always support Whee In despite inconvenience due to an unintended accident.

Meanwhile, Whee In, who was born in 1995, and is 28 years old this year, debuted as MAMAMOO in 2014. Whee In then made her solo debut in April last year, the latest among MAMAMOO members.
