Jo Kyungmin's Journey on Mnet's "I-LAND"

On "I-LAND," Jo Kyungmin is one of the four contestants aged 15, having been born on Oct. 28, 2004. This makes him among the youngest trainees taking part in the show.

In Episode 1 of "I-LAND," he performed VIXX's "Chained Up," together with Jaeho and Geonu. But he was unfortunately sent to the Ground, hence, he was unable to enter I-LAND.

In Episode 4, he managed to enter I-LAND following the "Ground" team's performance of BTS' "Fire." However, he returned to the Ground as a total of 11 people voted him back.

But on May 31, the company released a notice, announcing Kyungmin's departure from the group and the agency. HYBE Labels Japan explained that they have determined certain differences in the directions being sought between him and the label.
