On Sept. 26, a Twitter user by the handle @kchartsgraphs revealed the top 10 2022 most-streamed K-pop group songs globally (to date). The list consists of tracks by male and female groups from the third and fourth generations. Out of the 10 songs, Stray Kids' "MANIAC" drew more attention.

On Sept. 26, a post titled "Stray Kids are Daebak (Awesome) Among the 4th Gen Male Idols" was made on the online forum Nate Pann. The netizen who made the post wrote, "Bangtan is in the celestial world so if you remove them, Stray Kids are the only other male idols. Seems like Stray Kids really blew up overseas. Freaking awesome."

According to the rankings, Stray Kids' "MANIAC" took No. 9 with 354,640,448 streams across four major music platforms (YouTube Music, Spotify, MelOn, and Genie). A total of 226 million streams came from YouTube Music, 110,707,985 streams from Spotify, 11,800,000 streams from MelOn, and 6,132,463 streams from Genie.

Although the other artists have bigger figures, it is worth noting that Stray Kids is the only fourth-generation K-pop boy group and only the second K-pop male group overall on the list (along with BTS). This is why they stood out to the Nate Pann poster, who also said that they didn't expect Kep1er and NMIXX to be included on the list as well.

Stray Kids' Upcoming Activity

In other news, Stray Kids is set to make a comeback wth a new mini-album titled "MAXIDENT." The EP consists the title tarck "CASE 143" (written, composed, and arranged by members Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han) and seven B-side tracks.

"MAXIDENT" is due out on Oct. 7 at 1 p.m. KST. It comes after the release of their mini-album "ODDINARY" in March.
