On September 27, the Korean media outlet JTBC released an article, highlighting how NCT 127 raised the status of its recent comeback as a "blessing in disguise."

In particular, when its fourth full-length album, "2 Baddies" was unveiled on the 16th, it initially met multiple issues and criticism.

First, the physical album was badly criticized after omitting Doyoung's image from the rear cover of its digipack version.

With the fans' protest, SM Entertainment immediately addressed the problem and quickly gave their apology. They also acknowledged that it was a mistake caused by a fault during the inspection of the jacket design process and attested to compensate for fans who received the albums with flaws.

The misfortune didn't stop there and SM Entertainment was once again under fire following an unorganized comeback show for the group.

On the same day of its album release, NCT 127 held a show to commemorate their comeback at the 7th hall of KINTEX's 2nd Exhibition Hall in Ilsan with 10,000 people. They were ridiculed for failing to fill the whole seats and just sold about 8,900 seats.

The show proper also led to chaos because the venue consists of standing, not designated seats and thousands of people flocked to the front of the stage every time NCT 127 appeared, causing inconvenience to the audience. Supposedly, 4,000 people can only fit into the venue.

Even NCT 127's title track, "2 Baddies" was referred to as a "flop" for failing to enter the top of local charts, especially in the boy group category.

But, it seems like Yuta works like a charm for NCT 127 who said through his bubble:

"This time, the song is a hit. I feel like I won't be able to do anything if this song doesn't do well."

Despite the shaky start, "2 Baddies" has been making significant results and enhancing their status as a group, but the whole K-pop industry.

As of September 22, NCT 127's fourth full-length album recorded an initial sales volume of 1,547,595 copies based on the Hanteo Chart. This is the highest record by the group surpassing the achievement of its previous album, "Sticker."

This is also the highest record among SM Entertainment artists.

On top of their domestic feats, NCT 127 reigned on the global charts as well, in general.

JTBC reported:

"NCT 127 also achieved the feat of reaching No. 3 on the Billboard main album chart in the U.S. In addition, it entered the top 50 of the ARIA chart, Australia's official music chart, topped the domestic weekly record chart, won two awards in the circle chart, and topped the top 100 charts in both Japanese line music albums and songs."

As if counter-attacking the people who laugh at them during their comeback showcase, NCT 127 proved its influence and power by confirming its entry into the Olympic Main Stadium at Jamsil Sports Complex in Seoul, the largest concert hall in Korea.

The reason why this is a huge achievement is because only artists with top-class and huge fandom akong K-pop artists can enter the main stadium, such as BTS, EXO and IU.
