Stray Kids' "MAXIDENT" is now the K-pop album with the third highest pre-orders in history! Read on to find out how many stock pre-orders the boy group racked up so far.
Stray Kids' 'MAXIDENT' Pre-Orders Become 3rd Highest Figure Among K-pop Albums in History
On Sept. 29, it was reported that Stray Kids' "MAXIDENT" recorded 2.24 million stock pre-orders as of the afternoon of Sept. 28, 10 days before its official release on Oct. 7.
The figure shows an increase of around 940,000 from the 1.3 million pre-orders achieved by their previous mini-album "ODDINARY" two days prior to its release on March 18 this year. This means the boy group achieved a new career high.

Last year, Stray Kids earned their first "million-seller" title with their second studio album "NOEASY," and last March, they became a million-seller for the second time with "ODDINARY"- becoming a double million seller.
With the stock pre-orders of "MAXIDENT," Stray Kids is about to get their second "double-million seller" title but this time with just one album.
On top of that, Stray Kids' "MAXIDENT" has broken the record for the third-highest pre-orders for a K-pop album in history. NCT 127 previously held this record with 2.2 million pre-orders obtained by their studio album "STICKER" last year.

"MAXIDENT" now follows BTS' two albums "MAP OF THE SOUL: 7" and "MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA," which attained 4.02 million pre-orders and 3.02 million pre-orders respectively.
What's more Stray Kids is the only fifth K-pop boy group to accumulate two million stock pre-orders for one album, following BTS, NCT 127, SEVENTEEN, and NCT Dream. They are also the sixth K-pop group overall, including BLACKPINK on the list.
Stray Kids' "MAXIDENT" consists of a total of eight songs including the title track "CASE 143." The name of the album, "MAXIDENT," is a compound word of the English terms Max, Maximum, Accident, and Incident, meaning a large incident that happened without notice.

Stray Kids' "CASE 143" is reportedly a love song that will showcase a different charm of the group. This is the first time that a love song will serve as a title track for the boys' album. The "143" in the title is said to represent the phrase "I love you."
Stray Kids' "MAXIDENT" and the music video for "CASE 143" are due out on Oct. 7 at 1 p.m. KST.

Stray Kids Debuts on Various Billboard Charts This Week
In other news, Stray Kids has landed multiple songs on Billboard charts for the week ending on Oct. 1.
On the World Digital Song Sales chart, Stray Kids' "Heyday" entered at No. 13. "Heyday" was sung by 3RACHA (Bang Chan, Han, and Changbin) for Mnet's "Street Man Fighter."
Additionally, Stray Kids' "CASE 143" debuted at No. 19 on Billboard Hot Trending Songs chart. This is a notable entry as the song is yet to be officially released. This goes to show how excited and interested fans are in the track.
"3RACHA" and "TASTE" even entered at No. 15 and No. 17 respectively on Billboard Hot Trening Songs' real-time Last 24 Hours chart. These two songs are also yet to drop. Their entries came after Stray Kids revealed the "UNVEIL : TRACK" teasers.
