BLACKPINK's 'Shut Down' and 'Pink Venom' are the Most Viewed K-pop Music Videos in September 2022
Snagging the spot to become the most viewed K-pop music video for the month of September is BLACKPINK's latest hit single "Shut Down."
According to K-pop Radar on October 1, "Shut Down" had garnered a total of 141,399,221 views on its music video on Youtube in the month of September alone, which is an amazing amount following its release on September 16.
"Shut Down" is the lead single of BLACKPINK's second studio album "BORN PINK," which marks the four-member girl group's first album release as a whole group in more than two years following their first studio album "THE ALBUM" released in October 2020.
"Shut Down" is a hip-hop based song featuring bass sounds, and samples violinist Niccolò Paganini's "La Campanella." It was written and composed by Teddy, Vince, Danny Chung, and 24. Lyrically, the song is a clap back to BLACKPINK's haters.

Not only that, but another one of BLACKPINK's music video was the most viewed for the month of September.
Coming in as the second most viewed K-pop music video is their song "Pink Venom," which was pre-released back on August 19, as it garners 120,523,268 views in September. This brings the total views of "Pink Venom" to 351,297,438 by the end of the month.
NCT 127's '2 Baddies' is the Third Most Viewed K-pop Music Video in September 2022
Following behind BLACKPINK's two songs is NCT 127's latest release "2 Baddies" as the third most viewed K-pop music video for the month of September.
"2 Baddies" was released back on September 15, and has since then garnered a total of 77,128,143 views on Youtube. It was released as part of their fourth studio album of the same name, which was officially released a day after on September 16.
"2 Baddies" came a year after they released their third studio album "STICKER" back in September 2021. The lead single was written by Sokodomo, Xinsayne, and Haeil, while production was led by Tony Ferrari, Cazzi Opeia, Aron Begerwall, Louis Lindberg, Parker James, IMLAY, and Ellen Berg.
