THIS Male K-pop Idols Will Reportedly Join IU's Agency After Departure From Yuehua Entertainment
On Oct. 5, Yuehua Entertainment announced that one of its soloists is leaving the company. This idol is WOODZ, also known as Cho Seungyoun.
Yuehua took to WOODZ's official fancafe to release its statement, where they explained that the artist will leave the label following the expiration of his exclusive contract later this month.

Yuehua Entertainment's statement is as follows:
"Hello, this is Yuehua Entertainment.
First of all, we would like to thank those who have shown a lot of love for WOODZ.
We would like to inform you that our exclusive contract with WOODZ expires later this October.
Since his debut in UNIQ to his activities as a soloist, we have been able to closely observe his passion as a musician. It has been a meaningful time for us to have been with WOODZ, who has grown into an all-around artist thanks to his consistent efforts and tackling challenges.
We would like to thank WOODZ for his long journey with us and support his new chapter of his life for his next dreams.
Please continue to show your love and support for WOODZ.
Thank you."
Following the announcement of WOODZ leaving Yuehua Entertainment, Star News issued an exclusive report stating that the male K-pop idol will move to IU's agency, EDAM Entertainment, after his exclusive contract with Yuehua ends on Oct. 19.
As of press time, EDAM has not yet confirmed nor denied the news about WOODZ's transfer to the company.

WOODZ debuted in 2014 as a member of UNIQ. He went on to participate in Mnet's survival show "Produce X 101" in 2019 and managed to secure a spot in the debut lineup of the project boy group X1.
However, X1 was able to carry out activities for a few months before disbanding due to the vote manipulation scandal.
WOODZ then returned to Yuehua and resumed his solo activities.
WOODZ's Recent Solo Activities
In other news, WOODZ had multiple solo activities in the past few months.
On May 4, the male K-pop idol dropped his fourth extended play "Colorful Trauma," which features the title track "I hate you" and four more songs.
WOODZ's "I hate you" is a pop rock and pop punk genre song. The lyrics say, "I can live well without you. Oh doing everything I want to do without you. You'll be fine without me. I know I like you, I don't need your love," expressing that he doesn't have to be sad because of the person he once loved.

WOODZ's "Colorful Trauma" sold 70,632 copies on the Hanteo Chart in the first week of its release, while it sold 87,509 copies on the Circle Chart in its first month.
Following his solo comeback, WOODZ held a concert in Bangkok, Thailand, titled "WOODZ LIVE COLORFUL in Bangkok," on Sept. 3.
