This already established idol once again applied for an audition for his current agency in secret, but hilariously met a sad ending.

Following contract renewal with Starship Entertainment in August, the boy group MONSTA X is currently taking a break from its activities and is doing individual schedules in the meantime.

Among them, one member during his personal activity reported what he had done because he was bored and wanted to do something fun - and it was none other than Minhyuk!

On October 4, MONSTA X Minhyuk appeared on Naver NOW's "Vogue Ship Show" Season 2, where he was the MC, and revealed his recent status. On this day, Minhyuk said:

"I really want to do something fun. I was thinking about what was there, and recently I went to Starship Entertainment's website and applied for an audition."

He even captured the photo of his audition in case someone says he's lying.

During the online K-pop audition then, the male idol revealed that there are four categories where you can choose your field of specialization. Among vocal, rap, dance and visual, Minhyuk proudly stated that he chose the fourth one, showing confidence in his appearance.

The "Face Genius" then proceed to the application proper and carefully wrote down his personal information such as his name, gender, height, weight, and birth date, and left his cell phone number, e-mail, and where he lived.

He also showed off in his application that he is a versatile idol aspirant who already released several albums, and flaunted his skills in singing, dancing and even trot.

The "GOT MY NUMBER" was supposed to attach a video, but the video's capacity was too large.

In the end, he just attached three selfies and sent his application.

MONSTA X Minhyuk Reveals He Didn't Receive Callback From Starship After Sending Audition

As an idol approaching his eighth year of career, fans who are listening have high expectations that Minhyuk will pass the audition.

The singer then revealed that the agency confirmed that they got his application but unfortunately didn't receive a call for a second screening. Lee said:

"They got it. But I didn't get a call. I must have failed then."

Minhyuk expressed his disappointment and asked:

"They should have contacted me, but they didn't contact me. Did it come by mail?"

Nevertheless, the idol hinted that he didn't do it just out of boredom but to put smiles on the staff's faces as well.

"But wouldn't it make their day fun if the people in charge (of the agency) saw this?"

MONSTA X debuted in 2015 under Starship Entertainment. Following its seventh debut anniversary, all members except for I.M. renewed their contract with the company, beating the "7-Year Curse."

Although the youngest member left the company, he expressed his desire to continue working as MONSTA X in the future.

He also joined the 2022 MONSTA X "No Limit Tour" in Seoul for three days from September 2 to 4 and met local fans.

Currently, the members of the group are showing their faces to the public in their own ways, such as hosting personal broadcasts and releasing solo albums.
