We are now in the first week of October 2022, which means a ton of new songs have been released in the past week. With loads of new songs and news released every day, it can be a bit difficult to keep up to date with our favorite K-pop artists.
So, with that, here is a rundown of some K-pop songs and trending news released from September 29 to October 5.
Comebacks and Debuts
EXID - 'FIRE'
On September 29, EXID celebrated their tenth debut anniversary with the release of their special album "X," featuring the lead single "FIRE."
TREASURE - 'HELLO'
On October 4, TREASURE returned with their mini album "THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER TWO" and its lead single "HELLO."
Red Velvet Seulgi - '28 Reasons'
Red Velvet member Seulgi became the third member of the group to officially make her solo debut. She released her first mini album "28 Reasons," led by the single of the same name, on October 4.
AB6IX - 'Sugarcoat'
AB6IX dropped their new single "Sugarcoat," which is part of their sixth mini album "TAKE A CHANCE" on October 4.
ONEWE - 'Still Here'
On October 4, ONEWE released their single "Still Here."
KINGDOM - 'Long Live The King'
On October 5, boy group KINGDOM returned with their fifth mini album "History Of Kingdom: Part Ⅴ. Louis," which includes the lead single "Long Live The King."
ITZY - 'Blah Blah Blah' (Japanese)
ITZY made their Japanese comeback with the release of their second Japanese single entitled "Blah Blah Blah" on October 5.
Rocket Punch - 'ドキドキLOVE' (Japanese)
Rocket Punch also made their Japanese comeback with their first Japanese studio album "ドキドキLOVE" and its lead single of the same name.

Back on September 30, controversial Youtuber Sojang raised the claim that IVE was initially supposed to debut with seven members instead of six. However, the rumored seventh member, Park Joo Bi, was "kicked out" due to Jang Wonyoung.
Sojang claimed that Jang Wonyoung had been jealous of Park Joo Bi, which made her not want to debut with the latter. Thus, Starship Entertainment ended up removing Park Joo Bi from IVE's debut lineup.

In their statement, YG Entertainment announces their plans to take strong legal action and have involved the police to investigate the source of the leak.
ENHYPEN Sunoo Will Not Appear in Group's Upcoming Japanese M/V

On October 3, Belift Lab announced that Sunoo will not be appearing in the music video for ENHYPEN's upcoming Japanese version of their song "Future Perfect (Pass the Mic)."
According to the agency, Sunoo was not able to participate in the filming for the song's music video as it was during his period of rest following his health-related issues.
Thus, they ask for fans' understanding in him not being included in the music video and its behind-the-scenes footage.
