On Oct. 6, Genie Music Awards (GMA) updated its website to reveal the nominees for major categories. The list features most popular K-pop soloists and groups, including IU, BTS, BLACKPINK, SEVENTEEN, NCT Dream, and more.
It was also mentioned that all songs and albums nominated were those released from Oct. 1, 2021 to Oct. 5, 2022.

How to Vote for 2022 Genie Music Awards?
Any K-pop fan who owns a valid South Korean phone number or verified Korean ID can vote for the 2022 Genie Music Awards nominees.Voting will begin on Oct. 6 and last until Nov. 3 at 11:39 p.m. KST.
To vote, open the Genie app and choose the artist you will cast your vote for.
Meanwhile, the 2022 Genie Music Awards is scheduled to take place on Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. KST at Incheon Namdong Gymnasium, marking its first offline event since 2019. Ahead of the main show, a red carpet event will be held. The award ceremony will be broadcast via ENA, idolplus, and STAYG.
This year's GMA will come with the slogan, "Play Again, Play GMA," which carries the message that the award show, which was affected by the pandemic, will be revived and offer a stage that becomes one with music.
