Big Hit Music Criticized for Not Doing THIS After BTS Won at The Fact Music Awards 2022

On Oct. 8, The Fact Music Awards 2022 was held at KSPO Dome in Seoul, South Korea, marking the award ceremony's first in-person installment after three years. The event was hosted by Jun Hyun Moo and Girls' Generation Seohyun.

Big Hit Music's boy groups BTS and TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) were among the 20 acts who attended the show. These two also took the stage to perform their latest hits "Yet to Come (The Most Beautiful Moment)" + "For Youth" and "Good Boy Gone Bad" respectively.

Moreover, BTS and TXT both won at The Fact Music Awards 2022. In particular, they both earned Artist of the Year (Bonsang), and BTS took home other awards, such as Idol Plus Popularity Award, FAN N STAR Choice Award, Fan N Star Global Award, and Fan N Star Most Voted. BTS even earned the Daesang (Grand Prize).

On Oct. 9, Big Hit Music shared a report about TXT winning at the TMA on their official social media accounts. However, the company didn't do the same thing for BTS- leading to one fan making a post on an online community, titled "Big Hit's Official Account Forgetting About BTS's Award News... Again..."

In the post, the fan pointed out that Big Hit Music were posting news about other idols but they didn't post anything about BTS.

"It's not like it's the first or second time they're doing this, and it's not like they forgot about the schedule completely," the fan said. "They're not releasing anything about BTS. Last night, they even posted about P-dogg and Bang Si Hyuk's awards but not BTS's."

The fan also attached a screenshot of a previous post on the same online community titled "Big Hit Team Dedicated to BTS, 100 Staff, to Be Stronger and More Supportive."

They then commented, "Ever since their contract renewal, I've been the most curious about the whereabouts of those 100 staff [members]."

The post on the online community has since accumulated over 56,000 views and hundreds of comments from other netizens.

What Are Netizens' Reaction About Big Hit Music Not Posting News About BTS's Wins at The Fact Music Awards 2022?

One of the comments recalled the time Big Hit Music deleted a post about a BTS member releasing an OST, and its video was also omitted from the group's YouTube playlist.

The netizen shared:

"Didn't they omit the post about a member releasing an OST once? Hahaha. They even deleted it from their YouTube playlist, and the fans had to complain about fixing it and in the end, it seemed like they were still debating whether to do it or not. They're seriously a mess. They've been with the members ever since the beginning, but the fact that they're just gaslighting them seriously completely turned me off."

Meanwhile, some expressed their desire that BTS leaves Big Hit Music and HYBE.

"I'm waiting for them to quit their company."

"I'm so against their renewal. I'll pray for them to leave HYBE."

"I'm f*cking pissed off seeing how those people wouldn't even do anything for Bangtan. Please quit HYBE."

"What's up with the agency's inferiority complex towards their own artists?"

"Can't they just all leave HYBE and set up their own company?"
