JYP Entertainment Gives THIS to Stray Kids After Reports of Privacy Threats

Through Stray Kids' fan community forum, JYP Entertainment announced last November 11, 2022, that Stray Kids has been experiencing multiple cases of physical privacy invasion. Stray Kids' agency also expressed that even though they have issued several notices about this before, some "fans" remain stubborn.

The entertainment has acknowledged that these activities done by sasaengs may negatively impact the dorm's maintenance and, worse, cause "distress" and "harm" to other people.

Hence, to act on these recent encounters, JYP pleaded to refrain from such activities. Consequently, to protect Stray Kids from these people, JYP submitted a copy of CCTV footage of the "fans" who continuously roam around Stray Kids' dorm building to the police station.

JYP Entertainment said:

"If the violations continue after this notice is posted, we will not only place the perpetrators on a permanent blacklist for Stray Kids fanclub activities, but also take all possible civil and criminal measures available according to the laws related to stalking crimes."

STAYs React to this Announcement

Upon learning the continuous and alarming stalking activities to Stray Kids, local and international STAYs have amplified the call to respect artists' privacy. Some even empathized with the thought that "someone entering your building where you live" is indeed bothering.

Therefore, STAYs applaud JYP Entertainment for giving Stray Kids the protection they deserve and for choosing to elevate manners with the assistance of legal third parties.

Here are some of the fans' sentiments:

"this is crazy, idols are humans too, and ppl like these are not fans, i hope they get blacklisted in an instant instead of waiting for it to happen again before doing so, we want the kids to spend their days until they sleep freely without worries of being stalked"

"People who don't respect skz privacy don't have the right to call themselves stays."

"sue them already. oh god this is so awful and traumatic for them. praying for the kids' safety."
