As EXO subtly hinted at their return through video content together, some Korean EXO-Ls notorious for being OT6 stans dropped an announcement against members Chen and Chanyeol.
What happened?
OT6 K-EXO-Ls Announces Withdrawal Petition Against Chen & Chanyeol
On November 15, several EXO fans continuously raised their voices calling for members Chen and Chanyeol to leave the group.
In particular, a support group for six members of EXO excluding Chen and Chanyeol made an official announcement through Twitter.
They wrote:
"Hello, I'm the General Manager of EXO 6.
Let me tell you about our future schedule. All future 'Chen and Chanyeol withdrawal work' will be conducted offline.
The first shot/attack will be a group-off with Chen and Chanyeol participating. I will let you know the details again when the schedule is set."
The representative then explained why they decided to do it face-to-face, saying:
"The surest way to deliver the attention along with efficiency issues is face-to-face, so it will be offline."
Reasons OT6 Wants Chen & Chanyeol Out
In May last year, the association initially created headlines for conducting ad balloon advertisements and radio advertisements calling for Chanyeol's withdrawal near the SM Entertainment office.
On the 29th of that month, an ad balloon appeared at the intersection in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, where EXO's agency, SM Entertainment, is located.

The words "Chanyeol OUT" and "Delete the amount of SM Chanyeol" were written on the ad balloon, and fans who wanted to withdraw Chanyeol reportedly raised funds and floated it.
At the time, the coalition issued a statement and said:
"Last year (2020) an article revealing Chanyeol's inappropriate privacy was posted, and the controversy spread out of control because the content was so immoral. However, Chanyeol and his agency were irresponsible and did not take any stance."
In regard to Chen, the OT6 stans demanded the withdrawal of the idol after continuing to promote him as an idol despite having a family.
At that time, a few Kerries (Korean EXO-Ls) gathered outside the SM Entertainment office demanding the departure of Chen from the group and even tore and destroyed his merchandise in front of the agency.
"Chen already pushed ahead with solo and group activities while hiding the fact that he was having a child before marriage, and broke the trust between the fandom and the artist again by delivering different facts to official reports."
What triggered the coalition, even more, was when Chen released his third mini-album "Last Scene" on November 14.
Another is Chanyeol, who joined the army on March 29 last year and was discharged from the military after completing his one-and-a-half-year military service in September. With his return to the K-pop scene, the OT6 association is pushing for their withdrawal before an EXO comeback as a whole happens.
