OMEGA X Taedong's Sister Reveals Abuse Idol Suffered at His Former Agency 2Y Entertainment
On Nov. 16, OMEGA X held a press conference to discuss the abuse they experienced from Spire Entertainment's CEO, Kang Seong Hee. Aside from that, some of the members also touched on the previous mistreatment they had to endure at their old companies.
Taedong, in particular, revealed that his previous label, 2Y Entertainment, mistreated artists and didn't give them personal freedom.

He said, "I know not every agency is like this, but I think a lot of K-pop trainees and even current idols are being treated unfairly. In my previous agency, I practiced 15 to 17 hours a day without a single day off. They confiscated my phone and forced me to share my passwords."
She stated, "I was reading the comments in the article, and I'm at a loss for words. LOL. It is so mean. How is this noise marketing? And how is this justifiable because they aren't popular? I kept trying to ignore it, but it's making me so mad I couldn't hold it in anymore."

Meanwhile, OMEGA X's legal representative Noh Jong Eon revealed that a lawsuit is currently in progress to terminate the group's contract with Spire Entertainment. Also, the law team said that they plan to receive compensation from Chairman Hwang and to hold him criminally liable for abetting CEO Kang.
OMEGA X Taedong's Activities Under 2Y Entertainment
Before joining Spire Entertainment, OMEGA X Taedong was under 2Y Entertainment (headed by CEO Yoon Yoonjae). He was part of the pre-debut boy group GIDONGDAE, along with Lee Kiwon (now called ONE.KI), Kim Yehyeon, Won Jin, and Haolin.
Prior to debut, GIDONGDAE dropped a pre-debut single titled "Party Like This" on June 3, 2020. Unfortunately, this song was their last release as their debut was eventually canceled.
