Melon Year-End Chart 2022: Here Are Songs Expected to Be in Top 6 to Top 10
On Nov. 22, one netizen took to the online community TheQoo to share the candidates for the top 10 on Melon's year-end chart this 2022. They also explained that there wouldn't be a change in the rankings unless a new song suddenly skyrockets up the music charts.
The song that is predicted to be at No. 6 is IVE's "ELEVEN" which many people know was released in December 2021. Even though it has been a year since it came out, IVE's debut song remains on the Melon chart.

BIGBANG's "Still Life," the group's first song as a whole in five years, is a candidate for the 7th place. To recall, this track is the first release by a male artist to achieve a perfect all-kill this year. Also, it is the K-pop song with the highest first-hour unique listeners on Melon in 2022, having a total of 146,721 listeners.
Coming behind at No. 8 is GyeongseoYeji and Jun Gun Ho's "If you lovingly call my name." Like IVE's "ELEVEN," this tune was also released last year but still ranking high on Melon thanks to its popularity in Karaoke rooms.

Melon Year-End Chart 2022: Here Are Songs Expected to Be in Top 1 to Top 5
Now, the song that is expected to be No. 1 on Melon's year-end chart this 2022 is none other than IVE's "LOVE DIVE." This would be the first time in six years that a girl group song will dominate the tally since TWICE's "Cheer Up" in 2016.
Additionally, this would mark the first time in six years that a girl group will have two entries in the top 10 after TWICE's "Cheer Up" and "LIKE OOH-AHH" ranked first and ninth respectively in 2016.
(G)I-DLE "TOMBOY" is running for rank 2 on the chart. This would be the first time in six years that two girl group songs took the first and second spots on Melon's year-end chart since 2016 when TWICE's "Cheer Up" and GFRIEND's "Rough" claimed No. 1 and No. 2 respectively.
