From there, the 19-year-old Du Meizhu revealed how Kris Wu molested her when she was 17 years old while she was drunk at his home after an alleged casting interview.
More women came forward, including two minors, saying that the former idol lured them into having intercourse.
He was formally arrested in August 2021, a month after his detention. His case became the most high-profile #MeToo case in China and caused international media outlets to share his shocking story with the world.
