While Jinni a former member of NMIXX suddenly withdrew from the group, singer and CEO Park Jinyoung's past remarks are being re-examined.
In 2018, JYP Entertainment CEO Park Jinyoung wrote a lengthy message on his Instagram:
"I think we exist now because of our fans. We will continue to study ways for our fans to enjoy (artists) activities in the future."
He then continued:
"Ever since our company was established, we have our own principles and have been trying to run the agency by following these principles.
Artists are required as well to take strict self-management rules from the moment they become trainees. People who continue to violate those standards will no longer be with us although they already debuted."
J.Y. Park concluded:
"I want to say that I am grateful and proud of the artists who have worked hard to keep them all. We will constantly study so that you can have more fun and healthy activities."
Speculation That Jinni Was 'Kicked Out' From NMIXX Continues
This remark from J.Y. Park caused countless speculations at the time, including mentioning the names of artists who left JYP such as Jeon Somi, HyunA, and more.
On December 9, the company announced Jinni's withdrawal from the group and contract termination due to personal reasons. At the time, K-pop enthusiasts were skeptical about the real reason for her departure since fans claimed the star didn't give any hint that she will be leaving the group. Rather, she was excited to see Nswers during their next comeback.
Jinni also attended the 2022 MAMA AWARDS held at Kyocera Dome in Japan on November 29 and decorated the performance with the members and participated in the group's 2023 season's greetings as well. Fans are in a state of great shock because they couldn't find any sign of Jinni's withdrawal.
Due to this, there are speculations Jinni was "kicked out" after allegedly being caught in a romantic relationship, despite a 3-year dating ban set by the company.
With this, internet users are paying attention to Park Jinyoung's remarks in the past and were speculating Jinni broke a rule, the reason she has to part ways with her team and agency, not even a year after her debut in February.
Born in 2004, Jinni, who is 19 years old this year, joined JYP Entertainment in 2015 when she was 11. After seven years of training, she debuted in February in a seven-member girl group NMIXX with Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon, BAE, Jiwoo, and Kyujin.
