NSWERs Complain About Jinni Being Edited Out of the 2022 MAMA Behind-The-Scenes Clip
It has been only five days since Jinni left NMIXX, but the traces she left behind are being erased.
On December 13, Mnet posted a behind-the-scenes video of the "2022 MAMA AWARDS" stage held at Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan, from November 29 to 30.
In the video, NMIXX members appeared and were seen rehearsing as well as strengthening their unity before the actual stage. The group proved their status as an "all-rounder" group with their incredible visuals, skills and charisma in the video.

However, what captured the attention of NSWERs (fandom) the most was that, although Jinni hadn't withdrawn yet from the group at the time of the award ceremony, only six members were found in the video.
Looking at the clip, Jinni was skilfully edited out by being covered by the entire members' scenes.
K-pop fans were frustrated and saddened by the erasure.
- "If you are not a fan, you would think they only have six members from the start."
- "I can't see Jinni even when she shouts their slogan."
- "Don't you usually cut (members) when they withdraw because of controversy?"
- "Why do you treat people like they exist from the beginning without them."
- "I will never forget that there are seven people."
- "I hope it goes better in the future for the group."

Jinni left NMIXX and JYP Entertainment on December 9 due to "personal circumstances."
Since then, various online communities have raised suspicions about the reason for Jinni's withdrawal, and some have argued that it was because of her love affair with a male idol, as claimed by the infamous YouTube informant Sojang.
As the controversy got bigger, Sojang added that Sullyoon was also dating a male idol she met even before her debut. The YouTuber then mentioned that Sullyoon was one of the reasons Jinni broke the 3-year dating ban set by JYP Entertainment because she was the one who introduced the latter to her boyfriend.
As a result of these absurd claims, NSWERs urged the agency JYP to protect NMIXX, especially Sullyoon.
On Twitter, the fandom holds a Twitter mention protest using the hashtag #PROTECT_NMIXX.
Currently, NMIXX is active as a six-member group, comprised of Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon, BAE, Jiwoo, and Kyujin. On December 13, the sextet won the New Wave Award and Emotive Award at the 2022 AAA IN JAPAN.
