What Makes VIVIZ Different From GFRIEND? Members Share Their Thoughts
On February 9 KST, Umji, SinB, and Eunha, launched an online showcase to celebrate their return as the funky girl-group trio, VIVIZ.
The three idols are known to be former GFRIEND members, who made the decision to re-debut as a trio. They discussed how VIVIZ would reveal a different side to fans musically.
Eunha clarified that VIVIZ is distinct from their former group, because GFRIEND previously released music that affected their audience's emotions. However, she explained that VIVIZ is likely to create more upbeat music that makes people want to dance.
Umji, the maknae of her former and current group, furthered that the trio was initially uncertain of their musical color. After a thorough planning, the trio found their own color and realized how they could utilize it to differ from GFRIEND.
"We didn't know for sure what musical color would come out with just the three of us. But when we put the music together, we found that we have this kind of color. It seemed like we could try something new and different from when we were in GFRIEND."
