"Hello.

This is ENHYPEN's Jay speaking.

I was shocked to see fans' reactions after today's Weverse livestream. Regardless, I truly apologize to ENGENE for any distress or inconvenience I may have caused.

I was overly critical of the topic on Korean history since I constructed my opinion, solely on my own experience. I shouldn't have acted recklessly and discussed it in such a negative manner, given my lack of knowledge.

Today has given me the chance to acknowledge once more how much I still need to learn.

I want to clarify that I didn't want to ignore our proud history, but I am aware that my remarks may have given others that impression, and I am responsible for that. I'm sorry.

I'll be more cautious and diligent about such topics, so I can develop into the kind of artist that ENGENEs are proud of.

I always learn so much from everyone. I'm grateful, thank you."

Jay and fellow member Sunghoon started a Weverse livestream on January 11. During the stream, the topic came up when Sunghoon expressed his interest on Korean history.

Afterwards, Jay conveyed his interest in world history, as he already learned a fair amount of Korean history during his school days.

Jay further explained that other countries have lengthier events, compared to Korean history.

"I enjoy studying history. I might claim that there isn't much information on Korean history. If you study it for weeks, reading through events, you'll find out it's over quickly. It's like a short story. But the history of other nations goes on forever."

"There is no end to the history of other countries I've researched about. The histories of the nations are extremely lengthy. But the history of Korea simply begins and finishes so quickly."
