On January 10, music company Musicow announced their most-searched K-pop songs in 2022. Relating from their most-searched category, they also revealed the most traded and interesting releases. From their analysis, these artists are included together with their songs.
Without further ado, here are 6 most searched K-pop songs in 2022!
1. 'Merry Christmas In Advance' by IU
The most popular song last year, according to an analysis of the songs registered in Musicow, was "Merry Christmas In Advance" by IU, which received over 117,000 searches and easily won the top spot. "Merry Christmas In Advance" delivered both IU's vocal talent and appeal, making it the most-searched song.
2. 'Where The Love Falls' by Lee Sunhee
On its second place in the most-searched, Lee Sunhee's "Where The Love Falls" earns its spot with a total of 2,300 searches on the platform. The song consists of a piano accompaniment, fused by Lee Sunhee's endearing vocals, making it worth listening to
3. 'Just As Usual' by EXO
Meanwhile, EXO's "Just As Usual" was mentioned by Musicow. The song was also considered to be the most traded song in 2022. It's understandable why "Just As Usual" is in the list, due to its relaxing melody, packed with EXO members' stellar vocals. The song is from EXO's seventh EP, "Don't Fight The Feeling."
Even if it's a B-side track, it still stands out enough to join the list!
4. 'I'm In Love' by Colde
Colde's "I'm In Love" follows EXO as the second most traded song in 2022, according to Musicow. The song is a remake of singer Ra.D's piano version, creating a style which suits the acoustic format. The song is also covered by numerous artists, such as Narsha, LadyJane, MONSTA X Kihyun and BTS Jungkook.
5. 'Gift' by Melomance
Next up is "Gift" by Melomance! This calming hit song is placed No.1 on Musicow's "Most Interested Songs" category. In 2017, the song surged its way up to the charts, breaking through Bugs, Genie, and Olleh Music charts. Currently, the music video for "Gift" gathers a total of 42,550,864 views on YouTube.
6. 'Slightly Tipsy' by Sandeul
Lastly, we have Sandeul's "Slightly Tipsy" to join the list. The song features a mood stabilizer, due to its acoustic sequences and Sandeul's amazing vocals. It also leaves listeners with a memorable melody, making it one of the most interesting songs in Musicow. Furthermore, the track is an OST for the webtoon drama, "She's My Type"
