On this day, the company confirmed that the sextet will part ways with MLD after all members decided not to renew their respective contracts.

"After a long discussion with MOMOLAND (Hyebin, Jane, Nayun, JooE, Ahin, and Nancy), we have agreed to respect each other's opinions and terminate the exclusive contract as the contract expires.

We express our deep gratitude to MOMOLAND for being with us as an artist for a long time, and we will also sincerely support the members' future.

We also ask for fans' constant love and encouragement for the six members ahead of their new start.

With this, there are concerns and speculations about whether MOMOLAND will join the girl groups who failed to break the "7-year curse," which means that a member leaves or the team disbanded seven years after the group's debut.

Although MLD didn't explicitly state that MOMOLAND will go separate ways with members, Korean media predicts that they have virtually begun to disband.

The group was well-received in the K-pop scene that they even became a top-tier third-gen girl group after the release of "BBOOM BBOOM" and "BAAM" in 2018 which were both loved around the world as global hits.

However, Taeha and Daisy, who joined late, left the team amid popularity for various reasons, while Yeonwoo also followed to focus on her acting career.

Following MOMOLAND's disbandment, the former members' reactions to the news received attention from fans and web users.
This is due to the fact that there are supporters who were still hoping that the group will reunite as OT9.

However, it seems like Daisy is really done with the group and is focused on her solo career after replying to a fan's remark about MOMOLAND.

The fan said:

"Bae your group left MLD Entertainment!"

Daisy briefly yet sternly replied:

"I don't give a flying f**k. But like no hard feelings to you."

In the past, Daisy alleged the company of fraud after kicking her out for an unknown reason. She also exposed that MLD hindered her from resuming her activities with MOMOLAND, after hiatus due to health issues.

After being fired, Daisy became a TikTok star and has been "spilling the tea" about the K-pop industry. Nevertheless, she attested to fans that it doesn't affect her anymore and hinted at not liking to be associated with the team anymore.

As for Yeonwoo, the member remained tight-lipped amid the rumor that she was bullied by members following her withdrawal. On the same day of MOMOLAND's disbandment was announced, she only shared her photos for NAU F/W 2022: NOW IS GOOD behind-the-scene photos. Currently, she's been cementing her name as an actress following the success of her drama, "The Golden Spoon."

Regarding Taeha, it has been reported that the member has been on good terms with most of the members, but she's been keeping herself away from the limelight since leaving the team.
