In a popular web community, aespa Giselle sparked discussions after an author wrote a post stating that the female star doesn't really suit a "Shalala-princess" concept.

Along with this claim, the writer posted a photo taken from the group's recent video.

Earlier on March 14, the four-member team uploaded a new video on its official YouTube channel, titled, "aespa Brand Concept Photoshoot Behind." In this video, aespa appeared with a princess-like concept, wearing cute and bright outfits. Prior to this shoot, the members also posed for a chic, black-and-white-themed pictorial.

As soon as the video was unveiled, it immediately amassed 135k views, two days after its release. In the comments section, K-pop enthusiasts especially MYs (fandom) are going crazy about the visuals and individual charm of the "Girls" singers, attesting to their royalty-like atmosphere.

However, it seems like not everyone was satisfied with aespa Giselle's appearance. This is not because she's not cute or bubbly enough— rather, people think she's just "TOO HOT" for a princess concept!

Initially, the post appeared to be a hateful statement towards the female idol, but netters turned the table upside down by stating that her elegant side just can't help but come out, overpowering her supposedly cute, innocent and vibrant side.

People who saw Giselle's photo left comments such as:

aespa Heralds for May Comeback

Meanwhile, aespa, the group to which Giselle belongs, will officially make a comeback in May. The hitmaker known for their songs, "Black Mamba," "Next Level," and "Savage" will have its first new album in about 10 months since the quartet dropped its second mini-album, "Girls" in July 2022.

At that time, "Girls" achieved the highest pre-order record for a K-pop girl group with 1.61 million pre-orders, and for the first time in girl group history, it surpassed 1 million pre-orders, realizing its popularity.

Thanks to this feat, the group entered the U.S. in earnest, staged the largest outdoor music festival in the U.S., attended the opening section of the 2022 High-Level Sustainable Development Forum in the U.S., and became the first K-pop girl group to make a U.N. speech.
