"During my time as a trainee, I honestly thought that I was the best there is. Thinking that I look cool while dancing and doing it well surely made me happy."
"Dancing is closer to professional work. Despite it being something I want to improve on, It's more important I do it well. My style has evolved a lot, since I love doing hip hop moves while doing girl group choreography."
"When we, ITZY, perform as a group, I turn down my individuality to focus on working well together with the team's synchronized unity."
Ryujin was also asked if dancing has ever bored her. The singer stated she doesn't approach dance like work, since it can overlap with her energy.
However, Ryujin takes up new choreography to satisfy her passionate drive, and even commended leader Yeji for being an incredible dance partner.
"I became sensitive to my moves when I approach dance like work. For this, I usually learn new choreography to quench my thirst. Yeji is also an amazing partner in dancing.
"Nowadays, I'm interested in learning tutting, where you have to emphasize your hands and fingers' movements fluidly."
How Does Ryujin Strengthen ITZY's Teamwork?
To start, Ryujin opened up on her individuality and inspiration. She also realized the power of words, specifically support and praise, as well as admitting one's own mistake.
Ryujin does her best in encouraging the members in simple, but meaningful actions and words. This also applies to their fans as well. Furthermore, she also shared that all members have the potential to become solo artists, even if it's still far in the future.
"Though I am not good at expressing myself, I do my best in saying a lot of words containing praise and support."
"That's when I learned the power of words, especially when apologizing. When it comes to fans, I always check up with them if they've eaten well."
"Although it's still far ahead, all members will show amazing stages when we become soloists."
