"They say that in 10 years, mountains or rivers can change and it's true. There have been new waves reaching new heights non-stop.
So many late nights that I can't fully recall. I'm an entirely new person at 30, different from who I was when I was 20 years old. Now, I feel unfamiliar on my past self.
Being enchanted by certain words, is quite a special feeling. For a noun has become a pronoun, until bulletproof becomes BTS, and for army to become ARMY. A lot of rain, wind, and love came through. I guess we've built our own world, one that no one can easily understand.
Thanks to ARMY and those who supported us. We encountered precious experiences, ones that we can never fully experience again. Looking back, even as I plunge myself in reminiscence, I was used to kicking down doors, and moving without rest.
Even now, I'm still guessing at our second chapter. I feel like we will always be able to become anything we want. My worries when I was 17 and 20, are still standing.
As I gradually became an adult, I discovered that there are many things in this world that can't be elaborated by writing it or through words. That things that seem like will never change, will someday change too.
Also, the birth of a single "name," will always need the strength and love of so many people. I'm still immature. Perhaps, in the future, things will still feel unfamiliar to me, tense, and uneasy. But no matter what, I will move forward, distant but together, far but near. I hope that I will have you all and you will also have me.
To my members, staff, family, friends! And ARMY! You've worked really hard, and let's do well together for the next 10 years too. In this bad world!
I love you.
2023. June 12.
Nam June"
