The news comes as SM Entertainment, the agency representing Girls' Generation, takes a strong stance against online harassment and seeks justice for their artists.
SM Entertainment, through the artist rights protection organization KWANGYA 119, released a statement regarding the legal action taken against Taeyeon's malicious commenters.

SM Entertainment's decision to pursue legal action against the malicious commenters sends a strong message that such behavior will not be tolerated.
The agency confirmed that the police have identified and are investigating a total of six individuals related to the filed complaints.
Out of these, four individuals are currently under investigation, while two have already been forwarded to prosecution for indictment.
The agency is determined to protect their artists' rights and ensure a safe and respectful environment for them and their fans.
Taeganger to the Rescue
Fans of Girls' Generation and Taeyeon have shown their support and appreciation for Taeyeon but not the agency's “bare minimum effort” in dealing with these issues.
On twitter, one fan said that the agency keeps blind and deaf towards fan’s real screams. One underlying problem that the fans are pointing to is the mismanagement of Taeyeon’s concert in Jakarta.
