The search for the new global girl group in collaboration with Mnet x THEBLACKLABEL is finally on! Here are ways to apply for the audition if you are an aspiring next top K-pop idol!
'I-Land 2': Release Date, Additional Info + WAKEONE to Manage ENHYPEN's Sister Group
Earlier this year, Mnet confirmed that the production of the second season of the global project "I-Land," which contains the creation of next-generation K-pop artists, will finally push through.
The final member lineup will be debuting as a new girl group, similar to their brother group ENHYPEN, which debuted in the 1st season.
While the boy group was launched under the partnership of HYBE and CJ ENM, hereinafter managed by the Belift LAB, the upcoming female team will be created through the collaboration of YG's THEBLACKLABEL X WAKEONE.

The debuting team will work under the label WAKEONE under CJ ENM in the future, which is a leading management company of K-pop that includes global music artists who will make a new sensation at the forefront of the music market. Some of them are ZEROBASEONE, KEP1ER, Jo Yuri, TO1, Roy Kim, Lim Seulong, DAVICHI and MBITIOUS.
Meanwhile, "I-Land 2," the new global K-pop girl group debut project in 2024, is scheduled to air in the first half of next year. It is expected to garner massive attention thanks to world top-class produced Teddy who will participate as a master producer.
THEBLACKLABEL's CEO is known for creating numerous hits for BIGBANG, 2NE1, BLACKPINK and Jeon Somi. He is also dubbed as one of the "50 Greatest Producers of the 21st Century" by U.S. Billboard in 2021.
I-Land Season 2 Global Audition: How to Join, Online & Offline Schedule Dates
On July 10, "I-Land 2" began recruiting applicants from around the world online through the program's website and the last date of the sending of the application form concluded on August 6.
The month-long application was flooded with applicants from 145 countries around the world, including America, Europe, and Asia, as well as Korea.
In particular, participants who show off various talents such as artistic activities in various fields other than music and winning competitions, as well as simple idol-related careers, are drawing attention.
But if you failed to submit your application online, there is still a chance to become an "I-Land 2" contestant through their offline audition!
Starting on August 12, Mnet will hold a global audition tour with Teddy in 12 cities and 9 countries. He expressed his willingness to find applicants who will share a new adventure journey that breaks the game with infinite possibilities by conducting document support and on-site auditions on a two-track basis.
The audition tour will visit the countries of Canada, the US, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, China, Germany, the UK and Australia.
