EXO Chen To Focus on Solo Career in Japan After CBX Conflict

Meanwhile, EXO Chen is recognized as an "all-round vocalist" with excellent singing skills and appealing voices through various musical activities such as solo albums, drama OSTs, featuring, and collaboration as well as group activities.

However, his popularity in South Korea slowed down after he broke the news of his marriage and child's birth to the public in 2020.

Back then, his fans felt "betrayed" and asked him to step down as a member of the globally-popular group EXO.

Since that year, Korean Eris have been asking him to withdraw from the group. In fact, their demand gets louder as the years goes by, especially when Chen confirmed the birth of his second child in 2022.

His last comeback in Korea was with his third mini-album, "LAST SCENE," released in October 2022. Since then, he hasn't made a solo comeback aside from his single, "Before the petals fall," in May 2023.

Meanwhile, this will be EXO Chen's first solo move as well after the attempt to leave SM Entertainment, along with Baekhyun and Xiumin (EXO-CBX) in June. At the time, the trio asked for the termination of their contracts due to unfair clauses and overdue payments.
