From Being 'Hated' Member, ZB1 Gyuvin Gains Love Following Necklace Incident
Amid praises, the fandom ZEROSE is becoming emotional that Gyuvin is finally earning the love that he deserves, after getting massive hateful comments and criticisms when he was introduced as ZB1 member.
The hate train started when Gyuvin joined Mnet's "Boys Planet." At the time, the idol was unfairly labeled as a "dozen" contestant, which is a K-pop slang term to refer to someone "talentless." The word is also a play on the word "doesn't," pointing out the skills that the idol doesn't have.
At the time, some netizens weren't really impressed by Gyuvin's visuals and skills, and questioned the reliability of his high ranking.
Amid the "favoritism" and "overhyping" accusations thrown at him, the member received even more backlash after Jeon Somi publicly showed support for him.
The hate and criticism decreased after he officially debuted as ZEROBASEONE, but his image to appeal to the larger K-pop fans became better following his viral video.
