SHINee's Taemin, who recently marked his 15th debut anniversary with his group and returned from fulfilling his mandatory military service, has been actively promoting his solo career.

During a guest appearance on soloist Lee Mujin's musical talk show, "Leemujin Service," Taemin candidly discussed his journey in the music industry, his evolution as an artist, and his aspirations to explore new musical genres.

Taemin's Interest in Exploring Different Musical Genres

Reflecting on the diversity within SHINee's discography and Taemin's solo releases, Lee Mujin acknowledged the remarkable transformation Taemin underwent from being the group's youthful maknae to a "mature, sexy man" with his solo debut.

Many of Taemin's solo songs have been characterized by their sensual and alluring qualities, and Lee Mujin was curious about whether Taemin had a desire to explore other musical genres.

In response to this question, Taemin expressed his interest in trying out various genres and cited Lee Mujin's own hit song, "Traffic Light," as an example of a style he'd like to explore in the future. "Traffic Light" is an upbeat folk song with jazzy elements that achieved the top position on Billboard's K-Pop Hot 100 chart in 2021.

Taemin playfully declared that if he could, he would "rewind time and make the song [his]." However, Lee Mujin jokingly informed Taemin that the song, which Lee Mujin himself had written and composed, was not available for purchase.

Taemin took the light-hearted moment in stride and humorously responded that he would write the song before Lee Mujin when he traveled back in time, showing his witty and playful personality.

While time-traveling to claim "Traffic Light" may remain a fantasy, Taemin and Lee Mujin shared a memorable duet performance of Girls' Generation's iconic debut song, "Into The New World," to conclude the "Leemujin Service" episode.

This collaborative performance provided a delightful treat for fans of both artists, showcasing their camaraderie and musical talents.

In addition to entertaining fans with their chemistry, Taemin's comments about wanting to explore different musical genres have sparked curiosity about his future music endeavors and how he will continue to evolve as an artist in the ever-evolving K-Pop industry.
