Amid the opening of the fifth-gen K-pop era, THESE 2nd-gen female idols are set to greet us this second half of 2023 with their new songs!
Admit it or not, one of the best eras of K-pop will always be the second-gen, the generation that brought some of the most iconic and beloved girl groups of all time - SNSD, 2NE1, Wonder Girls, 4 Minute, Brown Eyed Girls (BEG), and more.
Unfortunately, due to members' pursuing various paths and desire to make their own names, most of them have already disbanded or in an indefinite hiatus.
Luckily, these idols from those second-gen girl groups didn't stop their passion for music, and continue to create their "second heyday" as soloists, yet still bringing the nostalgic feelings from their respective teams.
Here Are 5 Female Soloists Who Will Make a Comeback in November 2023:
1. Girls' Generation Taeyeon
The queen is finally back. Taeyeon, the leader of SNSD, heralds her much-awaited return on November 27!
Earlier, the idol confirmed her new album release, "To. X," and teased fans with intriguing comeback videos and images.
Taeyeon also dropped the schedule of her upcoming fifth mini-album, raising K-pop fans' anticipation due to its unique concept.
2. Jessica
After about six years since her last release, "My Decade," in 2017, Jessica will reportedly return to the music scene!
Jessica Jung is said to turn her career to its next page with her fourth mini-album, "Beep Beep," which will be unveiled on November 22, according to KTown4u.
Based on the album description, Jessica will feature a self-produced release with inspirational and feel-good vibes. The song is said to give applause and encourage one's resilient self.
3. 2NE1 Park Bom
After a year and a half of waiting, BLACKJACKs and Bomshells rejoiced with the announcement of Bom's solo return!
On November 22, her song, "I," will be unleashed on various music platforms, her first release since "Flower" in 2022.
According to D-NATION Entertainment, the song is a pop ballad that flaunts Park Bom's distinct vocals. The lyrics then convey "I" as the current lonely and indifferent self.
4. Former Wonder Girls HyunA
On November 6, HyunA, a former member of Wonder Girls and 4 Minute, finally made her return to the music scene with her single, "Attitude."
This marks her first release after transferring to her new label, AT AREA.
5. Brown Eyed Girls Narsha
Narsha, who is a member of the iconic girl group Brown Eyed Girls, drew massive attention for her single solo song after 13 years!
There is not much information about the release yet, but according to the singer herself, it will be a ballad track that expresses her sincere apology to fans who have waited for so long.
She once again comforted fans that she didn't retire yet and she's also working on an album set to be released in 2024.
