HD Hyundai's construction equipment brand DEVELON has selected Dayoung, a member of WJSN, to be the first idol to become a construction machinery brand ambassador."
In the released photos, Dayoung smiled brightly next to a forklift miniature and caught the eye of fans by exuding lovely visuals with her blonde fairy-like aura.
WJSN Dayoung Obtained Small Excavator License to Secure Global Ambassador Position
As a part of the promotion, the female idol also showed the process of obtaining a small excavator license and did a part-time farm job to prove her worth as the first-ever idol global ambassador of a major construction equipment company.
In the video, Dayoung obtained a license for a small excavator (less than 3 tons) in October and operated the machinery herself while working part-time at a farm.
Dayoung surprised both the instructors and the farm owners by showing her appearance as an "all-around entertainer" with her unusual excavator driving skills.
She was also proud of her skills, saying:
"Everyone thinks it will be difficult for a woman like me to drive (driving an excavator), but I was taught yesterday and soon I will get a license."
After undergoing a two-day training, lessons, and practice, Dayoung who received her license joked:
"I feel like I secured my retirement future. Now, I feel like I have one more thing to do even if I get cut off from the Starship."
After going to the countryside, she was put into a 1,200-pyeong farm and completed difficult tasks such as moving compost, making fields, planting green onions, and digging waterways. The farm owner gave Dayoung a hefty salary for her hard work until sunset.
Dayoung then showed her satisfaction, saying:
"This is 4 out of 5 points. It was perfect for preparing for idol retirement because women can do it without much difficulty. The 0.5 point was taken out because (the excavator) was shaking so much that it was shaking my brain even now, and I lost 0.5 points because it smelled like feces. Everything was good for the rest."
