On November 6, G-Dragon voluntarily appeared at the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency's drug crime investigation team after he was accused of taking illegal drugs.

At the time, he submitted body hair and urine to prove his innocence through a drug test and the male idol, since then, has been actively insisting he didn't take illicit substances and showed willingness to cooperate with the police till the end.

His reagent test later received a negative result from the National Forensic Service, which implies the possibility of taking drugs for at least 10 months.

For further testing, G-Dragon's nail was also tested, and the same as the initial result, he received a negative result. The police kept silent about the exact results of the test and said they were "investigating other parts," but having tested negative in all three tests, the case is yet to be finalized by the police who hardly hold any evidence aside from a testimony.

During an interview, GD also shut down speculations that he possibly used drugs due to emptiness or stress, like other celebrities.

"(But) I don't. I had to find a way to relieve emptiness or stress from time to time. However, it should never be a drug, and it's not a drug."

He also attested to fans his confidence of being innocent, adding:

"When I had other difficulties, I would have told myself, 'It's okay, it's going to be fine,' but I'm sorry that I don't have anything to say to myself for a few days.

As a public figure and a celebrity, I'm sorry to have made you worry in this way, but I hope you don't worry too much and watch the results.

I hope the day comes as soon as possible when I can return to my original position and smile as a singer. I want to meet you on a topic that can exert a positive influence. In order to do that, this situation must be resolved as soon as possible."
