Red Velvet Joy Unfollows Crush? Boyfriend Nowhere to Be Seen on Idol's Following List
On December 2, there is a rumor that has been going on among K-pop enthusiasts on various social media platforms, particularly on X.
This involved Crush and Red Velvet Joy, a celebrity couple that has been dating for about two years since announcing their public relationship in 2021.

According to keen-eyed fans, the female idol's number of "following" on Instagram decreased by one and upon checking, her boyfriend Crush is nowhere to be seen on the list, with people immediately claiming that the star "unfollowed" him.
As a result, a breakup rumor immediately spread on the internet, with fans expressing their divided opinions about the couple's relationship.
It was only a speculation, but ReVeluvs were already rejoicing, as Joy is said to be finally "free" from the idol.
Their reactions were harsh, but the fans claimed that they didn't hate Crush for no reason. Apparently, the fandom was disappointed with the male idol's misogynist behavior and treated Joy like some type of "trophy."
Recently, he became controversial alongside veteran singer Sung Si Kyung after their conversation about being an "artist to date idols."
Amid the rumor, Crush's fans clarified that the singer deactivated his Instagram account, thus, he was automatically removed from Joy's following list. The reason wasn't revealed beforehand, but his fans were frustrated that it might be due to the criticism he's getting from netters.
There are also rumors claiming that Joy unfollowed Crush even before he deactivated his account. But this is an unconfirmed speculation as well.
As of writing, Red Velvet Joy and Crush are yet to release their official statement regarding the rumor.
Red Velvet Joy & Crush Dating History
In 2020, Crush and Joy first worked together as colleagues when the male singer released his album, "Homemade 1."
At the time, the female idol became a featured artist for his song, "Mayday" and she also came out for its official MV, playing the role of Crush's girlfriend. Due to their chemistry and the song's relatable lyrics amid the pandemic, it became a hit song in South Korea.
After about a year, their dating news was reported in 2021 and both parties confirmed it.
While they often post photos together while promoting their song, it became rare once they became a thing. However, they still showed affection for each other such as liking each other's posts, watching movies and shows together and indirectly mentioning each other during broadcasts.
Meanwhile, Joy a member of the girl group Red Velvet, recently made a comeback with its third studio album, "Chill Kill" on Nov. 13. She is actively promoting by appearing on SNS.
Just a day after on November 14, Crush also released his 3rd album, "wonderego" and he made an appearance in various web shows and content to promote his album.
